What we’re looking for
You might be an art graduate, practising artist, illustrator, designer, creative professional or an experienced children's activity leader with a strong artistic background.
What matters most is your enthusiasm for art and your ability to share it with children.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
A background in fine art, art and design or a related creative subject, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with children, whether through teaching, tutoring, childcare, workshops or creative activities.
Confidence using a range of artistic materials and techniques.
A friendly, patient and encouraging approach that helps children feel comfortable and capable.
Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with parents and colleagues.
Good organisation, initiative and a willingness to get involved.
A genuine interest in helping children develop their creativity and confidence.
Never taught art professionally before? If you have the artistic skills, experience with children and enthusiasm to learn, we’d still love to hear from you.
A creative career with purpose
At art-K, children learn far more than how to draw or paint. They develop patience, problem-solving skills, confidence and the courage to try something new.
You’ll be part of that journey — helping a child master a tricky technique, discover a love of painting or realise just how talented they can be.
You’ll also join a growing creative community, with training, guidance and opportunities to develop your skills over time.

About art-K
art-K was founded in 2000, to create a safe space where children can feel comfortable to explore their artistic skills. The art-K programme was created with a deep understanding of child development, child engagement, visual skills and artistic techniques, allowing the art-K teachers to create the safe environment by personalised the programme to children's individual needs.
Since deciding to expand art-K in 2016, art-K has grown to 60+ clubs, teaches 8500+ students per week (of which 1000 of our students are now adults), and employs over 100 permanent art teachers and 100s of art assistants.
Our goal is to ensure that every child or adult passionate about art has the opportunity to be a part of an art-K club in their local area. We’re looking to build a community of individuals who share a common passion and enthusiasm for creating art.
